Spring 2019 Wedding Trends

Spring 2019 Wedding Trends

Whether we’re still in “fool’s spring” and about to head into second winter or not, we’re feeling the warmer weather and thinking SPRING! Today we’ll be talking all about Spring 2019 Wedding Trends for the western slope.

These spring celebrations are inspired by the blooms and greenery budding again. New life means new color again after months of white snow and brown dirt and grey skies. We’ll be seeing that color come to life in the season’s weddings!

NEON

With Pantone’s color of the year being Living Coral, and last year’s Ultra Violet, it’s safe to say neons are making a comeback in fashion. For weddings we’re expecting this to translate to pops of color being incorporated more. You can expect to see corals, vibrant colors, and a bit more brightness as we come into summer!

Creative head table walls with neon signs, reception party entrance signage, and more will be looking toward neon signs and lights for a spectacular feature piece. With these more vibrant trends, you’ll also see more and more brighter, vibrant florals being used in spring 2019 and into the summer.

GLAM

Couples are leaning toward more glamorous themes for their weddings – if you’re going to do it, do it big right?! With that you’ll be seeing vibrant, glamorous trends on the rise this year, from decor to glam wedding gowns. Big ball gowns, glam and sparkle, and inspiration from recent royal weddings will be coming to life in 2019 weddings! More and more couples are steering away from “color palettes” and sticking with themes and vibes to create a more cohesive, personal design for their wedding.

A trend that started to move in during 2018 that we’ll continue to see in 2019 is geometric accents and patterns incorporated in the design of the wedding. From cake designs and centerpieces, to creative “arches” for the ceremony this will definitely be a trend we see stick around through the year!

HEIGHT

As we continue to see a growth in grand, larger wedding venues we’ll continue to see a rise in wedding planners and designers playing with the height of centerpieces. Tall spaces need varying heights of floral features and creative drapery and uplighting to keep the space visually interesting, and we’ll be seeing a lot of fun installments as local designers get creative with these new spaces!

VELVET

Velvet accents will be big in 2019, probably more so in spring and fall when there’s still a bit of chill in the air (for attire at least!) From bridesmaids outfits and suits, to tablecloths and runners, we are loving that this is a new and upcoming trend for the year!

WEDDING PARTIES

Couples are leaving “bridal parties” in the past and adopting gender neutral wedding parties instead. If your best friend is a guy, you don’t have to make him stand on your groom’s side anymore! Brothers and sisters can stand on whatever side you want them to. This trend is more inclusive to LGBTQ weddings as well. Gender neutral wedding parties make personalizing your ceremony and celebration a breeze as you don’t have to follow old traditions if they don’t fit!

Hopefully these Spring 2019 Wedding Trends have given you some inspiration to play with for your upcoming wedding plans! What’s your favorite trend you’ve seen lately? Leave a comment below to let us know! We love to hear what’s inspiring our WED Couples!
