Top Trends for Fall Weddings

Today we’re talking about Western Colorado’s top trends for fall weddings! Weddings in the fall can be beautifully decorated by relying on the colors of changing leaves, or can have an aesthetic all their own. Let’s dive in:

Velvet

Velvet is SO in right now, especially as we come into the slightly chillier months. From stunning velvet tablecloths or napkins, to bridesmaid dresses or suit jackets, there are so many versatile ways to include bits of this trend in your fall wedding. Even strips of velvet adorning your bouquet add that hint of texture in all the best ways!

Sleeves

Bridal gowns with ornate sleeves are coming in for fall and winter wedding fashion, and we’re loving it! The sleek sophistication of a lace sleeve adds a beautiful dimension to your wedding look, while keeping away the chill of autumn evenings.

Wine

Wine colored florals, dresses, and linens make for a beautiful autumnal color palette for your big day! Mulled wine is even a fabulous signature drink for fall weddings. With Palisade’s infamous Colorado Wine Festival in September it’s easy to think about all the ways you can incorporate our amazing local wines to your celebration!

Drink Stations

Customized, unique drink stations and bars is not exactly a new trend for the year. We’ve seen renovated horse trailers, mobile bars in funky designs, and even prosecco carts here on the western slope! For fall, though, we’re going to start seeing more of these unique drink stations with the ability to serve hot coffee, ciders and hot chocolate as the temperatures cool down. A hot cider or mulled wine bar just screams autumn!

Keep it Bare

Couples are opting for a more bare tablescape for autumn! Incorporating the trendy farmhouse tables you’ve probably seen around, without any tablecloths, makes for a warm and textured look that helps you create that autumnal feel for your wedding reception. Bare wood benches for ceremonies, especially with a couple baskets of blankets, really add to that cozy feel as well!

Just a Pop

The biggest fall color trend is having just a pop of color. Neutrals, taupes, and warm greys are the biggest main color we’re seeing, with funky pops of color in the florals or napkins. Bringing in a mustard napkin or wine colored floral centerpiece brings in those autumnal colors without being too over-the-top of feeling tacky!
