- Get all your details together the night before
- Having the bride and groom’s details all in one place will save your photographer time from having to track everything and everyone down. They can just show up and get to work documenting those important pieces.
- Have your veil, shoes, rings, jewelry, perfume/cologne, invitations or save the dates, and anything else important/sentimental in a box, ready to hand off to your photographer!
- Don’t stress about the timeline.
- nothing important is going to happen without you, and your vendors will work together to make sure the day goes smoothly. Your priority is just to be in the moment and soak in the day! Leave the details to your vendors.
- Allocate 15-20 minutes in the evening to dedicate to sunset photos with your partner!
- Sunset photos are golden hour bring your couples photos to the next level. This is a great time for guests to mingle, eat dessert, dance, etc. and you get a few intimate, quiet minutes alone with your new spouse (and awesome photos to show for it!).
- Don’t worry about looking “good” for photos.
- It’s best not to acknowledge your photographer, the best photos are true reactions or candid photos in real time. If needed, your photographer will step in and direct you or pose you, otherwise it is best to just enjoy your day, be in the moment and the photos will reflect your happiness and look great!
- Take 5 minutes after your family photos to go into your reception area and take it all in.
- Before guests are allowed in, you and your new spouse should enter the reception hall and appreciate all the details! You’ve spent months planning everything, make sure you take time to enjoy it and appreciate how it all came together. Remind yourself to be present and take mental images along the way, until you get your real photos back!
